DC UNIVERSE ONLINE! A new massively multiplayer online game (MMO)The game features 150 characters from the DC comics, designed with the help of DC comic book artist and executive creative director Jim Lee, as well as other DC writers.
However, the focus isn’t solely on the famous comic book characters, who remain unplayable by users. The MMO will instead let users create their own superhero or villain when they join the universe. They can then engage with other characters, good and bad, to duke it out.
This game will be available to play on the PS3 and PC platforms on November 2nd. The date was announced at Comic Con over the weekend, and a brand new trailer was revealed too – it’s pretty awesome.
If this is a sign of other cinematics that will be in the game then I am impressed already. Let’s hope the gameplay is up to snuff.
Disney has released online the first official look at “Tron: Legacy,” the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic. A Disney film that was waaaaay ahead of it’s time.
I admit, I have been waiting for a sequel since I was 7 years old. Tron Legacy stars man-of-the-moment Jeff Bridges who reprises his role as Kevin Flynn, the computer hacker trapped in a digital death match.
The new trailer reveals the new-look and feel to the Tron computer world. It seems that although remaining true to it’s predecessor the world has grown and evolved over the years along with its trademark light cycle races and flying disc fights. It will be interesting to see how our video game culture responds to this visual experience. The entire soundtrack has been designed by Daft Punk! And yes this film will be in 3D.
After 20 years, the Ghostbusters are at it again in Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Join Egon, Peter, Ray, and Winston as The Rookie, as they bust their way through New York City again.
Stop by Vancouver’s newest GameStop, try the game, meet some Ghostbusters, watch the movie, and MOST IMPORTANTLY get your copy of the game at midnight, the second they go on sale!
Xbox 360 version will indeed be available! Microsoft flipped a magic switch (or realized how silly it would be to come out one day later than every other system), and Xbox 360 copies of the game will be on hand.
Pre-Orders – if you know you’re going to get the game, and can swing by GameStop at 8th and Cambie, prior to the event, it looks better to the head office, and the better it looks to them, the more attention they heap on that location, and the more attention they heap on that location, the better the event! Pre-orders only require $5 down (and we’re looking to see if they allow trade-ins, which would also be something best done in advance.)
I can’t wait to get my greasy little hands on the new version of the Street Fighter 4 video game. So in honor of it’s release, I grace you with a snippet of the movie “CITY HUNTER” starring Jackie Chan.
