TRANSFORMERS ROTF MOVIE REVIEW

Sunday, 28. June 2009 by Elfsar

This is the greatest movie review of all time:
Michael Bay Finally Made An Art Movie
By Charlie Jane Anders
http://io9.com/5301898/michael-bay-finally-made-an-art-movie

“Critical consensus on Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is overwhelmingly negative. But the critics are wrong. Michael Bay used a squillion dollars and a hundred supercomputers’ worth of CG for a brilliant art movie about the illusory nature of plot.

Oh, and I would warn you that there’ll be spoilers in this review — except that, really, since I still have no idea what actually happened in this movie, I’m not sure how much I can spoil it.”

I also loved the line, “LaBoeuf projects a pathetic, wall-eyed dorkhood, when he’s not babbling like a tumor removed from Woody Allen’s prostate that somehow achieved sentience.”

CATAIN AMERICA IS REBORN!

Monday, 15. June 2009 by Elfsar

The mystery is over. Since its ambiguous solicitation, retailers and fans alike have been talking about Reborn #1, wondering what writer Ed Brubaker and artist Bryan Hitch had in store. Today, the world found out, as the New York Daily News reported that Marvel Comics will bring Steve Rogers back from the grave in what we can now call Captain America Reborn #1, expected to arrive in comic shops on Wednesday July 1st

Click here to read the full article.

Note that, as previously announced in Diamond Daily, the issue’s FOC date has been moved from Thursday, June 11 to tomorrow, June 16, giving you time to adjust your orders in response of this tremendous news, which is already spreading like wildfire.

CNN and MTV will both cover the hero’s return, IGN.com has already spotlighted the announcement, and more reactionary pieces can be expected in the days to come.
Brubaker, Hitch, and Editor Tom Brevoort have commented on the upcoming five-part mini-series in a Marvel.com follow-up article, and a Reborn trailer has also been produced, which you can find at PREVIEWSworld.com

In addition to making this announcement, Marvel has also revealed three covers for the 40-page first issue.
First, an Alex Ross cover will ship in a 50/50 ratio with a Hitch cover. Also revealed was the John Cassaday Variant, which retailers may only order only one copy of for every 25 copies of the regular Captain America Reborn #1. This variant is scheduled to arrive with the regular editions on July 1.
Finally, Marvel has unveiled the Joe Quesada Variant Cover which is scheduled to arrive in stores beginning July 22. Retailers may order two copies of the Quesada variant for every 25 copies of the regular Captain America Reborn #1 ordered.
Captain America Reborn #1 will also have a Sketch Variant Cover by John Cassaday that will only be available  for every 70 copies orderd of the regular editions.

I AIN’T FRAID UH NO GHOST.

Tuesday, 09. June 2009 by Elfsar

After 20 years, the Ghostbusters are at it again in Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Join Egon, Peter, Ray, and Winston as The Rookie, as they bust their way through New York City again.
Stop by Vancouver’s newest GameStop, try the game, meet some Ghostbusters, watch the movie, and MOST IMPORTANTLY get your copy of the game at midnight, the second they go on sale!

Door prizes donated by Sony, Atari, Gamer Graffix, Prima Guides, Proton Charging, and more!
Go to: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=84025534332 for more info.

Xbox 360 version will indeed be available! Microsoft flipped a magic switch (or realized how silly it would be to come out one day later than every other system), and Xbox 360 copies of the game will be on hand.

Pre-Orders – if you know you’re going to get the game, and can swing by GameStop at 8th and Cambie, prior to the event, it looks better to the head office, and the better it looks to them, the more attention they heap on that location, and the more attention they heap on that location, the better the event! Pre-orders only require $5 down (and we’re looking to see if they allow trade-ins, which would also be something best done in advance.)

Systems you can get Ghostbusters on;

PC
PS3
PS2
Xbox 360
Wii
Nintendo DS

Make sure to also check out: http://protoncharging.com/ for all your “G Bustin” needs!
