Cthulhupalooza was an event held on Saturday December 6, 2008 at the Rio Theatre in Vancouver BC Canada. It featured:

1. A very special performance by the Lovecraftian rock band The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets.

2. A Rock Band Competition – With prizes from many sponsors including Harmonix and Jones Soda. And a chance to sing the exclusive Rock Band track “Shhh….” LIVE with The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets.

3. Call of Cthulhu movie!

4. A group of Elfsar’s loyal customers formed a band named “ELFSAR ROCKS” and entered the contest for fun. Little did they know, they made it to the finals and then after an amazing performance of ‘Boston’ actually helped win them the 1st place bragging rites of the first ever CTHULHUPALOOZA ROCK BAND TOURNAMENT! Congratulations guys. You definitely rocked the place!

We were pleased to be presenting Cthulhupalooza as a supporter of Child’s Play charity – A game industry charity providing books, toys, and games in a network of over 40 hospitals worldwide including BC Children’s Hospital.
