An unfamiliar villain in the Batman rouges gallery

Monday, 25. February 2008 by Elfsar

Deathstroke in new Batman movie?! WTF?!

Well at the latest action figure convention they showed off action figures for the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, and well… as you can see, the character looks alot like Deathstroke the Terminator, a Teen Titans villain and not commonly associated with Batman’s rouge gallery. This movie is picking up a great deal of leaked geeky tidbits!

Newsarama has more here on the Toy Fair – some wicked news is DC has a new upcoming The Question figure:

Bigger photo of the action figure is here:

JMS no longer exclusive to Marvel and Rucka leaves Checkmate

Thursday, 21. February 2008 by Elfsar

Newsarama has the info and received word from J. Michael Straczynski explaining not re-signing with Marvel, check it out here:
http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=147409

Greg Rucka is also having problems with DC and is leaving Checkmate on issue #25 with Bruce Jones taking up the reigns after he leaves. More here:
http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=147419The news of Rucka leaving signals the end of Checkmate. JMS sounds like he’s sticking around to finish both The Twelve and Thor.  One can understand his frustration with Marvel after how he was treated with regards to Amazing Spider-Man.

In just 4 hours we raised over $100 cash money and a big heaping box full of food for the Vancouver Food bank. A Big thank you to everyone who made this possible.
