McFarlane Toys has unveiled its Halo 3 Spartan Soldier Action Figure from its first series of Halo 3 Action Figures that is due in stores long after the Christmas season in March. Like the Master Chief figure, McFarlane’s Spartan Soldiers are five inches high and feature 18 points of articulation. Each figure comes with an assault rifle and grenade accessories. There are five different Spartan Soldier variations including a Mark VI Armor White version that is exclusive to specialty stores while the blue Mark VI Armor and the blue CQB Armor Spartan Soldiers are exclusive to Wal-Mart (so you will never see it and can find it only on ebay), and the red Mark VI and EVA armored figures are available to all retailers. Which, I guess means us.
Talk about the lack of great timing! My guess is that these will be released in May as it is a commonly known that Mcfarlane releases are 2 months later than advertised (at least for Comic Book stores) I’m sure Wal-Mart’s release will be on time. You would think McFarlane has been in the game long enough to know when it is best to release a product. It’s like releasing movie figures for last years summer blockbuster movie. Stick to your out of date sports figures Mcfarlane, that way I can order less of your product.
In addition to the Spartan Soldiers the first series of McFarlane’s Halo 3 action figures includes Master Chief, Cortana, Brute Chieftain, Jackal Sniper, Grunt plus three related vehicles (Warthog, Ghost, and Brute Chopper).
Rumor has it, you can actually pose the figure… which is a first for Mcfarlane toys??? Have they finally woken up that some people actually take the product out of the package? Only time will tell. |
